I have consumed the first two books in this series in under 48 hours and I'm just glad I got Book 3 all set for listening right after. The way Amos Jones weaved this storyline has my mind working overtime, the descriptions create such strong visuals, it's almost like a VR experience. Book 2 of the Midnight Mayhem series is told in excellent dual narration by Michelle Price and Walker Williams. I got this audiobook at my request via a promo code and this is my voluntary review. This book was a perfect example of that for me. But when it’s all said and done and the story has been told I end up loving it and wanting more. Other times I am appalled by the horrors some of them have had to suffer. Sometimes I love the complexity of the characters and the story lines. I have come to feel like Amo Jones is an author who is going to push my boundaries when consuming her books. Then again, I’m happy they couldn’t otherwise it would have made for one very strange and boring dark romance. As much as they both tried to fight it they just couldn’t stay away. Killian and Saskia were like fire and gasoline most of the time, but they had this draw and connection that makes complete sense after all is revealed. But at the same time, I was caught up in the story telling and the evolution of the characters. I felt like every moment I was wondering what was really going on and waiting for more pieces to be revealed to put the complete picture together.
